Grand Valley Oncology

Community Hospital’s Grand Valley Oncology is committed to improving our patients and their families’ quality of life right here on the Western Slope. We understand that access to care, comfort and compassion is important in treating cancer. In recognizing this we offer a patient-centered approach that treats the whole patient and not just the disease. We put patients first.

Oncology Social Support Services

Research informs us that every person diagnosed with cancer experiences distress at some point throughout treatment. It is normal for patients to feel sad, fearful and helpless. Distress may range from minor anxiety and stress-related symptoms to severe depression that challenges the patient’s ability to cope.

Research also states that managing distress positively affects treatment outcomes and patient well-being. Therefore, Grand Valley Oncology offers complimentary social support services to patients and their families to help mitigate symptoms of distress.
